Facilitation: Storytelling Program

tathra street leadership facilitation for lgbtiqa+ community

Client: A relatively new organisation with an ambitious mission to serve as a hub for the LGBTIQA+ community.

Project Aim: Launch a program to build public speaking and storytelling skills through a grant-funded pilot initiative to amplify diverse voices, inspire empathy and address homophobia.

Tathra’s Role: Facilitated the program and collaborated with staff on coordinating participants and guest speakers. Created a high-trust and trauma-informed environment for deeply personal storytelling to be tailored for public sharing.

Added Elements: Introduced an integrated approach to self-care alongside community care. “We can’t yoga our way out of homophobia.” Provided techniques to strengthen social cohesion and establish a strong group bond from the first session.
