Since early 2024 I have been learning about AI, experimenting with it, and discovering a new world of productivity. Here’s what I want to say about how it has played a role in what I write and publish. Because honestly, it’s transformed my ability to move beyond having folders of half-written posts and articles. I still have those, but now, with AI assistance, I feel more confident to actually publish. 

I use AI in my writing in much the same way others use an editor or a thinking partner. I think faster than I write, so it helps me organise complex ideas, improve readability, and tighten structure and language. Sometimes it turns notes or voice recordings into a first draft that I then edit, probably for much longer than needed.

I treat it as a sense-making tool rather than a source of ideas. It has shaped the form and clarity of my recent work. The thinking, interpretation, lived experience, values, and judgement are mine, and I am responsible for everything I put my name to.

I say this openly because transparency matters. Used thoughtfully, AI can make ideas more accessible without diminishing the humanity, accountability or originality of the person behind them. I recognise there are plenty of problems, and it will absolutely alter life as we know it. More on that to come. For now, this is me being real about my process. 

You will still find mistakes and typos, and I still want to know if you notice anything that doesn’t make sense or clearly strays from the intended impact.
